Strictly necessary technologies are needed to provide the Website you have asked for, to keep it secure, or to remember your privacy choice. They do not require consent and cannot be turned off in our settings, though you can block them in your browser (see section 4).
Analytics helps us understand which pages are useful and how the Website performs, so we can improve it. We use it only with your consent.
At the date of this policy, we do not use advertising, retargeting or social media cookies, and we do not embed third-party content, such as videos or social media widgets, that would set them.
03Your consent
On your first visit, we ask whether you allow analytics. Analytics stays off until you choose to allow it. Rejecting is as easy as accepting, and choosing to reject does not affect your access to the Website.
The Website is designed so that your choice is applied by our server, not only in your browser: unless your consent cookie records that you allowed analytics, the Website instructs your browser not to load the analytics script. If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal, analytics is left off unless you turn it on yourself.
We keep an anonymous record of each choice (a random identifier, the choice, the policy version, whether a Global Privacy Control signal was present, and the time) for up to 24 months, so that we can demonstrate consent as the law requires. It contains no IP address and nothing that identifies you directly.
We ask again after 12 months, or sooner if we change the technologies we use in a way that needs your consent. We use cookies in line with the UK Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations 2003 and, for visitors in the European Union, the EU ePrivacy Directive as implemented in each country, including the Finnish Act on Electronic Communications Services (917/2014, section 205).
04Managing your choice
You can change or withdraw your consent at any time, as easily as you gave it, from Cookie settings at the foot of every page or with the button below. Withdrawing consent takes effect from that point and does not affect the lawfulness of processing before withdrawal.
You can also control cookies through your browser:
- most browsers let you see, delete and block cookies, for all sites or for specific sites;
- blocking all cookies also blocks the strictly necessary cookie that stores your choice, so we will ask again on each visit;
- some browsers support the Global Privacy Control signal, which we honour.
Your browser’s help pages explain how: for example Chrome, Safari, Firefox and Edge.
05Third-party sites
The Website links to other websites, including our pages on LinkedIn, X, YouTube, Instagram and Facebook, and to news coverage published by others. These links do not load anything from those sites until you click them. Once you are on another site, its own cookie and privacy policies apply.
06Changes and contact
We will update this policy if the cookies we use change, and the date at the top shows the latest version. Where a change requires your consent, we will ask for it again before the new technology is used.
For questions about this policy, see the contact details in section 14 of our Privacy Policy.
